Aravali Temple - Sindhudurg

Aravali, home of Shri Dev Vetoba, lies in Vengurle taluka of Sindhudurg district in Konkan, an area surrounded by semi-circular hill ranges on 3 sides and pristine beaches on the other.
It is as if God created this area with loving care: teeming with breathtaking natural beauty, tranquility, sparkling blue waters, long stretches of pure, virgin beaches filled with silvery sand shimmering in the sunlight and cool sea breeze whispering through cashew and jackfruit, berry and palm trees, coconut groves and mango groves.
Straddling the Arabian Sea, Aravali has a long and serene beach called Sagartirtha, its silver sand untouched and undisturbed by the ravages of progress. The village is surrounded by 200 feet high mountains and hills.

Redi Ganesh Temple

Redi is another small town ear On the way from Vengurla to Redi, from the hill top, the beach can be seen below. Huge Rocks are also an attraction here. Redi Ganesh Temple – This god Ganesh was found in the mines of Redi. It came in the dream of a worker who works in the mine , and asked him to search for him in the mines.When the mines were dug, this Ganesh idol was found underneath. It is a huge idol with only 2 hands. After few days, in the same area they excavated a big idol of mouse, which is a traditional vehical of Ganesha. These idols are very pretty and graceful. Today one can visit beautifully built temple and get delighted by taking "Darshan" of the adorable deity.

Terekhol Fort

Often mis-spelt as tirakol or tirakhol, Situated on the Terekhol River, this fort lies on the northern tip of Goa. Maharaja Khem Sawant Bhonsle built this fort in the 17th century. It was then rebuilt in 1764 after the Portuguese Viceroy Dom Pedro Miguel de Almeida captured it. However, Terekhol was legally incorporated into Goa only in 1788. Now, in a state of ruins, The Terekhol fort has been converted into a hotel, the Terekhol Fort Heritage. The church is not open to the general public except on certain occasions such as the annual feast that is usually held in May.

Kunkeshwar Temple

Kunkeshwar Temple, an ancient Shiva Temple is located in Kunkeshwar village, 14 Kms from Devgad town. A pristine beach with a very long stretch of seashore and white sand adds to the beauty of temple surroundings. This beautiful temple near beach has alluring architecture with reminiscent of South Indian style of temple architecture. Yadav Kings built this temple in 1100 A. D. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who rejuvenated this temple many times was a frequent visitor to this temple. This temple is also famous as Kashi of South Konkan. Every year a huge celebration takes place on the occasion of Mahashivratri, which keeps religious beliefs in constant sight of the multitudes. During the festival a large number of devotees throng this place with their families and friends. This vigilant Shiva deity bestows blessings on everyone who surrenders to its feet.

Angane wadi

Bharadi devi temple in Angane wadi is very famous.Every year in February fair of bharadi devi is organized and nearly 2 lakh people visits this temple in that fair. This is one goddess one just can't think of missing when one is in Malvan. This the famous “Jaagrut devasthan” situated at Anganewadi, 10 km from Malvan. The Bhradi devi temple is in the village Masure. Anganewadi is the small hamlet of Masure village. The Bharadi devi is very famous the village for her wish-fulfilling (Navas) power. Her devotees express their wish(Navas) before her and once the wish is fulfilled they come again for her Darshan(visit) to express the gratitude.

Tarkarli Beach

Bhogwe Beach is a secluded beach on the western shores of the Sindhudurg District. This beach offers beautiful views of the Karli River and the Arabian Sea. Deobagh's famous Mobar Point is also visible from the shores of this beach. Bhogwe beach is a place where some scenes of the famous Oscar nominated Marathi film “Shwaas” were shot. You can enjoy the Devbagh Backwaters, Bhogwe Beach, Dolphin view, which is worth watching.


The Madhavgad Fort is an amazing historic fort situated in the city of Amboli. Presently in a state of ruins, it is four times the size of the palace fort in Pune that goes by the name of Shaniwarwada. The Fort lies on the main road.The view from atop this fort is mesmerizing, with the entire Konkan and Arabian Sea being clearly visible from here. The surrounding forests ensure a surreal touch to the environment making the time spent here pleasurable.A nearby temple in the vicinity is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is believed to have been built by a man who was Shiva’s embodiment.
